The lead roles are played by Hamid Habibifar and Behrouz Jalili, the first a sarcastic electrical engineer and the latter a war veteran. Comic and dignified at the same time, this odd couple teams with the sweet-tempered driver of a dumpster (Mojtaba Bitarafan) in the trade of satellite dish installers in the capital.
Giving the proceedings a quality look is Touraj Aslani’s superbly imaginative camerawork, which paints an unforgettable double portrait of Tehran both at daytime, traffic-choked ferocity, and its peaceful nocturnal beauty.
The cast also includes Maryam Sabaghian, Mohammad Reza Salour and Mohammad Fasihi.
