IPO Hosting Cultural Confab
A Seminar on Cultural and Artistic Development will be held by the Islamic Propagation Organization’s Arts Bureau on July 21-22.
Head of the bureau, Hassan Bonyanian, told IRNA that the event seeks to overcome the problems facing cultural domains in line with the guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
While most problems in society will be solved by enhancing cultural values, the sector has so far been neglected, he said.
Constant recommendations by the Supreme Leader over cultural enhancement indicate his concerns about inattention to the field, he added.
Topics for discussion include the relation between culture and policymaking, management, religion, politics and sociology.
So far some 400 articles have been submitted to the seminar, of which 55 will be published in a three-volume book.
