Prague keen on expanding Tehran trade

Visiting Vice-President of the Czech Chamber of Deputies Vojtech Filip said that his country is interested in boosting economic cooperation with Iran.

The Czech lawmaker made the remarks in a meeting with Minister of Economy and Financial Affairs Ali Tayyebnia on Monday, IRNA reported.

He hailed Iran's fight against terrorism to bring security to the region.

He also said the Czech Republic is keen on improving the current level of trade exchanges with Iran.

Calling his visit to Tehran as positive, Filip said reputable Czech companies are prepared to have an active presence in the Iranian market.

The Iranian minister said Iran's policy is to promote economic and political relations with the international community.

Iran spares no effort to ensure peace, tranquility and stability in the region, said Tayyebnia.

He also called for strengthening Tehran-Prague relations.
