France, Spain to produce Farhadi's new cinematic production

The shooting of Oscar winner Iranian director Asghar Farhadi's latest cinematic production is scheduled to start in Spain in October 2016.

The movie will be co-produced by Director General of Paris-based Memento Films Alexandre Mallet-Guy and veteran Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar, ISNA reported.

The cast includes American and Spanish actors and actresses and the story will be narrated in English and Spanish.

Farhadi apparently intends to direct his seventh feature film in Iran in the near future before initiating his international production in Spain.

Farhadi's 'A Separation' not only won the foreign-language Oscar in 2012, it was also the big winner at the 6th Asian Film Awards.

The academy award-winning Iranian courtroom drama took best film, best director and best screenwriter for Farhadi, as well as best editor for Hayedeh Safiyari.

Farhadi's 'The Past' is his sixth directorial work and first in a foreign country shot in the French capital, Paris.

The film scooped two prizes at the 66th Cannes Film Festival including the Best Actress Award that went to Argentine-French actress Berenice Bejo, and the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury (prix du Jury œcuménique).
