Six Iranian movies are to participate in Insight Half Festival of Kerala, India.

Shahrzad Rastani's 'Life Is Not Off', Baran Sarmad's 'Must Black', Ali Sajadi's 'Politics', Mahmoud Yazdani Bahramabadi's 'Aftershock', Hengameh Mahdi's 'The Immigrant' and 'Return' by Ramtin Serajpour will vie in the competition section of the event, IRNA reported.

Iran's Short Film Support is distributor of the movies.

Total running time of the movies must not be more than five minutes, including front and back credits.

The Fifth Insight Half Festival will be held from August 8-9.

Haiku Amateur Little Film Festival (HALF Festival) for short films, is organized annually by Insight, the creative group, and the association of amateur short filmmakers based at Palakkad, with operations worldwide.

Insight is a group of creative artists who believe in the great potential of the medium of communication and aesthetic creativity that the very short film offers. It is actually a regrouping of the founding members of the earlier, now defunct, 'Hraswachithra' (meaning 'Short Film') Film Society of Palakkad, the pioneering short film and parallel cinema movement in Kerala, which made several short films in the 8mm and video formats in the 1980s, when such attempts were rare in India.
