Nazeri heading for Zanjan, Arak

Distinguished Iranian vocalist Shahram Nazeri will perform concerts in a number of Iranian cities from July 21.

According to, the artist, accompanied by Molavi group, will perform traditional Persian music in Zanjan, Arak and Bojnourd.

He will begin his program in Zanjan on July 21 and will later stage a concert in Arak, Markazi province on July 22. Bojnourd in North Khorasan province will be the other venue for the artist's performance on July 24.

Nazeri is known as a prominent icon of Persian classical, Kurdish and Sufi music. He has received the French Chevalier des Arts et Lettres medal for his lifetime achievements in Persian classical music.

He has also been granted Asia Society's prestigious Lifetime Cultural Heritage Award.

Master Nazeri has released over forty recordings to date. His 'The One Hundred Leaf Flower' ('Gol-e Sad Barg') recording has held the record as the highest selling album of Persian classical music and Sufi music in history.
