According to IRNA, the artist, accompanied by Molavi group, performed five Persian and two Kurdish pieces.
Lyrics in the Persian pieces were by Rumi (Jalal-e-Din Mohammad Molavi), a 13th-century Persian poet, jurist, theologian, and Sufi mystic.
Over 1,000 people attended the concert organized by Avay-e Baran Institute.
Nazeri is known as a prominent icon of Persian classical, Kurdish and Sufi music. He received the French Chevalier des Arts et Lettres medal for his lifetime achievements in Persian classical music.
He has also been granted Asia Society's prestigious Lifetime Cultural Heritage Award.
Master Nazeri has released over forty recordings to date. His 'The One-Hundred-Leaf Flower' ('Gol-e Sad Barg') has held the record as the highest selling album of Persian classical music and Sufi music in history.
