"The Iraq war is a disaster for the Bushes," Trump told reporters in a press conference before his rally on Friday night in Hampton, New Hampshire, Press TV reported.
"The last thing we need is another Bush. Trust me. Saddam Hussein instead of him you have ISIS,” the front-runner Republican candidate said. “So you tell me, was it worth what we paid for?"
Speaking to an audience of over 2,000 packed in Hampton, Trump slammed his fellow Republicans, calling them “stupid” who are incompetent to fix the country’s problems.
The real estate billionaire, known his characteristic lack of humility, promised "brilliant" and "phenomenal" leadership on challenges ranging from foreign policy to health care to infrastructure.
"Our schools, our highways, everything - it's a mess!" Trump said to thunderous applause. "Who is better at infrastructure than Trump?"
Trump remains the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination following a controversial debate in which he refused to pledge loyalty to the eventual GOP nominee.
During the first major Republican debate for the 2016 presidential elections which was held on August 6, Trump had a fiery exchange with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly.
Trump stirred more controversy next day when he said on CNN that Kelly “had blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her —wherever” during the debate.
However, NBC News online poll shows that Trump is still at the top of the list of the crowded GOP field, with 23 percent support among likely Republican voters.
"You know, they're calling it 'the summer of Trump,'" he boasted on Friday night in New Hampshire.
