Mohammadreza Katouzian said the event, which is slated for September 30 in Tehran, will focus on the policy of ceding integrated management of oil reserves to universities and research centers.
"Resilience Economy underlines the need to enhance recovery from oil and gas fields, particularly those shared with neighboring countries, as well as generate value-added by completing the value chain in the oil and gas industries," said Katouzian, according to Shana.
"This has been specifically focused upon in the conference's targets for the upstream sector of the industry."
Given Iran's nuclear agreement with world powers on July 14 and the bright prospect of the removal of Western sanctions on Iran, the conference is expected to become an important venue for leading international research centers and companies who have indicated their interest to return to Iran in the post sanctions era.
