Sa'dollah Nasiri-Qeidari added that 17 Iranian historical monuments have so far been registered on World Heritage List and the country is potentially capable of presenting more sites for registration.
UNESCO National Commission has always provided all the countries with incentives to register their sites on World Heritage List, he said.
He further noted that registration of the monuments on global heritage list is mandatory not only for countries housing them but also for all UN member states.
They should all extend financial and spiritual support to global registration of historical monuments, he said.
Nasiri-Qeidari expressed satisfaction over cooperation of Iranian universities and educational centers with UNESCO National Commission.
