Tehran, Nakhchivan discuss ties

Economic activists from Iran and Nakhchivan in a one-day meeting in the land-locked enclave in Azerbaijan Republic discussed ways to broaden economic ties between the two sides.

The Iranian side, headed by Managing Director of Aras Free Trade Zone (AFTZ) Mohsen Khadem Arab-Baghi, held talks with Minister of Nakhchivan Economy and Industry Famil Naqim Seyidov and Minister of Agriculture of Elshad Aliyev on Thursday, IRNA reported.

In the meeting, the two sides also discussed the capacities for joint cooperation.

Arab-Baghi proposed reciprocal trade and industrial visits by economic activists to become acquainted with the economic and industrial capacities of both sides.

Seyidov and Aliyev referred to economic, industrial and agricultural progress of Nakhchivan in recent years and welcomed the expansion of cooperation between the private sectors of Iran and Nakhchivan.
