The slogan of this year’s exhibition is “Fair Criticism, Responsible Response” which aims at promoting the mutual relations between critics and the officials, Mehr News Agency reported.
According to Deputy Culture Minister for Press Affairs Hossein Entezami, over 700 media entities, including newspapers, magazines, news agencies and press organizations are participating in the exhibition.
The event will also feature different companies and institutes active in the press arena such as distributing companies, public relations offices and paper industries.
A number of foreign news agencies and newspapers that have offices in Tehran as well as several foreign journalists have also been invited to the exhibition to share their knowledge and experience with Iranian visitors.
According to reports, the foreign delegates are from China, France, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Russia, Turkey and the US.
The official opening ceremony will take place on Sunday with the attendance of President Hassan Rouhani as well as Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati.
Iran publishes a large variety of dailies, weeklies, and monthly newspapers and periodicals covering a range of fields.
The press exhibition is a good opportunity for the people to meet those involved in the media. Also, it is an ideal occasion for media members to personally get in touch with their audience.
The display will run until 13 November at Tehran Grand Musalla.
