A large number of art lovers and students thronged to the gallery on the inauguration and admired her artwork, dailytimes.com.pk reported.
Punjab University College of Art and Design Principal Shahida Manzoor inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon. On the occasion, as many as 30 paintings were put on display for the general public.
Shazly Khan has won an acknowledgement award from the Sindh governor for holding children art workshop at Karavan Karachi Festival and was also a first class position holder in fine art.
Khan's painting also was selected by the United Nations for Milan Expo 2015, in which only 60 works of art were short-listed by the selection committee amongst the 1,000 submissions of more than 200 artists from 66 different countries.
On the occasion, she said, "Although my themes are universal, still, I surf comfortably and confidently within the boundaries of local tradition, which are properly understood by the universe.
"I am not negatively rebellious and superficially revolutionary or reactionary, I question and address the paradoxes in life with great dignity."
Khan said that she had expressed something larger and beyond herself and her immediate concerns as a person were that she speaks for all women of the world, adding that her main theme was the human body and sacrificing facial expressions.
"I play skillfully on the manipulation of scale, gestures and exaggerated proportion to get the message across. I have always celebrated women and the various integral roles they play in their lives and valued relationships, which I depicted in my paintings," she added.
