Secret to a long life is not to worry

A great-grandfather who has just celebrated his 109th birthday says the secret to a long life is to not worry about anything.

George Higgs was born on New Year's Day in 1907 when King Edward VII was still on the throne, the Telegraph reported.

He was just seven-years-old when World War I broke out and was only 32 by the time World War II came around.

The dad-of-one, who has two great grandsons who live in America, said: "I don't feel so bad.

"At 109 I didn't expect to feel this good.

"The secret to a long life is not to worry about anything.

"Just get on with it."
