Kish Island in south of Iran will host the Sixth International Conference on Nanostructures (ICNS6) during March 7-10.

The Institute for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology of Sharif University of Technology is to organize the ICNS6 with special support of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC), Mehr News Agency wrote.

The conference seeks to bring together well-known Iranian and international scientists and researchers to exchange ideas, share state-of-the-art knowledge and advances in nanoscience and nanostructure fields.

ICNS6 is an important event in the field of nanotechnology. It will cover a wide range of topics, including low-dimensional nanostructures, carbon-based nanostructures, nanobiomaterials, nanomedicine, nanosensors and nanobiosensors.

The notable lecturers, who will attend the conference, include Professor Sir Mark Edward Welland, the head of the Nanoscience Center in Department of Engineering at University of Cambridge, England; Professor Paul S. Weiss, the director of Nano Systems Institute, University of California; and Kenneth Suslick, professor of the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois.
