FIFF wraps up, prizes awarded

The 34th Fajr International Film Festival announced its final verdict for the bests in Simorgh prize.

The jury included Abolhassan Davoudi, Mohammad Davoudi, Mojtaba Raei, Seyed Jamal Sadatian, Manouchehr Shahsavari, Mehdi Fakhimzadeh, and Niki Karimi.

Best Actress:

Parinaz Izadyar for ‘Eternity and a Day’

Best Actor:

Parviz Parastouei for ‘Bodyguard’

Best Supporting Actress:  

Shabnam Moghadami for ‘Breath’ and ‘Spare Part’

Best Supporting Actor:

Navid Mohammadzadeh for ‘Eternity and a Day’

Best Cinematography:

Paiman Shadman for ‘Sound and Fury’

Best Editor:

Bahram Dehghani for ‘Eternity and a Day’

Best Composer:

Mohammad Reza Aliqoli for ‘Mina’s Choice’ and ‘The Daughter’

Best Sound Recorder:

Hossein Mahdavi, Saeed Bojnourdi and Mohammadreza Delpak for ‘Lantouri’

Best Costume and Stage Designer:

Mohammadreza Shojaei for ‘Standing in the Dust’

Best Makeup Artist:

Saeed Malekan for ‘Eternity and a Day’ and ‘Mina’s Choice’

Best Special Effects:

Seyed Hadi Eslami for ‘Bodyguard’ (Visual Effects)

Iman Karamian for ‘Standing in the Dust’ (Ground Effects)

Best Screenplay:

The 34th Fajr Film Festival was held on the sidelines of the Ten-Day Dawn Festivities in Tehran on February 1-11.

The closing ceremony of Iran's 34th Fajr Film Festival was held Thursday, in the presence of Culture Minister Ali Jannati, at the Milad Tower.

23 movie theaters displayed the Iranian films during the Ten-Day Dawn in the capital city.
