French geologists visit Bushehr salt mountain caves

A number of French experts, geologists and photographers visited the salt mountain caves in the southern Iranian province of Bushehr.

Caretaker of provincial culture department in Dashti district said that Dashti salt dome is the biggest and the most beautiful in the world, IRNA reported.

It is the best place for foreign and domestic tourists to visit, Hamid Zarei said.

The caves in the salt mountain here were discovered by members of a mountaineering team eight years ago, he said.

Since then, thousands of people have visited the natural tourist attraction, he added.

Dashti district, with a population of 80,000, is located 80kms to the south of Bushehr city.
