The veteran Iranian theater, TV and cinema actor Jamshid Mashayekhi and top-notch director Ebrahim Hatamikia were commemorated in a Tuesday ceremony to honor the four-decade stardom of Iranian actor Parviz Parastui.

The ceremony was attended by cineastes and media persons in the hall of Fars News Agency.

Mashayekhi said, “Although I have long acting experience in cinema, Parastui reached an apex in his cinematic works and I recognize him as my teacher.

“He is a straightforward actor. He and Fatemeh Mo’tamed-Aria are my great teachers.”

Parastui was born on June 24, 1955 in Kabudar-Ahang, Hamadan Province, and is of Iranian Azarbaijani descent.

He had worked in the Department of Justice before he became an actor. Parastui made his debut by starring in ‘Diar-e Asheqan’ prior to his long-lasting lustrous career.
