Tehran, New Delhi to begin cultural talks

Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) and Indian Council for Cultural Relations have agreed on initiating religious talks and cultural interactions between Iran and India.

Head of ICRO Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman referred to the cultural agreements signed earlier between two countries and expressed hope this will serve as suitable grounds for developing cooperation and cultural ties, IRNA reported.

On Indian PM's special view on cultural issues, Raja Cikar, director general of ICCR, said that cultural relations between Iran and India are very rich.

On organizing Indian cultural events in Iran, Cikar noted that concerts of traditional music and a festival on Iran-India relations will be held.

On the measures taken by Center for Interreligious Dialogue and Civilization, Torkaman said that bilateral trust and mutual understanding are among the outcome of activities carried out by the center.
