Ala Abulhassan made the statement in a meeting with Iran's Cultural Attaché in Baghdad Gholamreza Abazari. He added that there are historical books and documents pertaining to the common history of the two countries, IRNA wrote.
Iraqi official added that Iraq needs Iran's experience to conduct studies on ancient documents.
Speaking about documents which are common between the two countries, he said the library maintains documents dating back to kingdoms in the two countries.
Abazari noted that Iran National Library and Archives (INLA) possesses state-of-the-art technology in the protection of historical manuscripts.
