Produced by Soureh Film Club, 'Valad' recounts the story of a new guest at a small hospital in Gaza which is left destroyed in every part due to severe bombardments. It is a short story of a mother struggling with child-killer bombs, Mehr News Agency reported.
The flick has so far won numerous awards in a number of festivals and in its latest international presence managed to grab the title of Best Short Film at the Italian Tracce Cinematografiche Film Fest.
International Open Film Festival (IOFF) is an initiative to explore the film with no border and it's an independent film festival. International jury from different countries will score the films along with audiences online. The event will provide the Best Award for each category, Certificates, Laurels and Statuette to the winners.
The festival hosted 4,000 films from 105 countries while 338 members of juries assessed the entries online.
The festival was held from June 10 to 14 in Bangladesh.
