Iranian airlines launch seasonal direct flights to Georgia

Georgia's Civil Aviation Agency (GCAA) announced on Tuesday that new seasonal direct flights would begin between Iran and Georgia.

According to the agency, Iran's Zagros Airlines will start direct flights between Tehran and Tbilisi on August 19, reported georgiatoday.ge.

The twice-weekly flights will continue until the end of the summer.

Iran's ATA Airlines launched seasonal direct flights from Tehran to Georgia's Black Sea coastal city Batumi on Friday which will continue until September 23.

ATA first offered two flights per week to Tbilisi but due to growing demand, it was raised to four.
