Arvand oil output reaches 400,000 bpd

Arvandan Oil Company is now producing 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day from the fields it is operating in western Iran, said the company's director of production and operation.

Given the rise in oil recovery from North Yaran and South Azadegan oilfields in recent months, the company has attained a total output to 400,000 bpd, said Ramin Hatami, reported Fars News Agency.

He said most of the company's production s exported while a portion is sent to Abadan Refinery.

The company produces 30,000 bpd from North Yaran oilfield.

Iran's oil recovery from joint oilfields in West Karoun region has increased from 65,000 bpd in 2013 to over 260,000 bpd since President Hassan Rouhani took office in August 2013.

President Rouhani launced the first phase of the development of Yadavaran and North Azadegan as well as North Yaran oilfields in November.

Arvandan Oilfield, a newly-established burgeoning oil company in Iran, is now operating fields with total oil deposits of one billion barrels. More than half of the company's fields are shared with Iran's neighbors.
