First IKCO office opened in Armenia

The first representative office of Iran Khodro Company (IKCO) was inaugurated in Yerevan in a ceremony attended by Iran's Ambassador to Armenia Kazem Sajjadi and a number of local officials.

In a fax sent to Iran Daily, IKCO cars, including Runna, Soren and Arisun pick-up, were showcased to the invitees and journalists at the ceremony, while IKCO Dena was also unveiled.

Reza Naghedi, head of IKCO office in Armenia said, "IKCO cars are needed in the Armenian market to compete with the world-class counterparts that easily enter this market. However, appropriate after-sales service, in addition to high quality parts and components can promise a suitable market share for our cars."

Underlining the role of suitable after-sales service, he added, "As the first IKCO representative office in Yerevan, we have started with 10 employees, four of whom have already undergone necessary training in the mother company. We also look forward to increasing the servicing of cars to 20 per day."

He noted, "There are already 3,000 and 2,200 Samand sedan and Peugeot 206 hatchback respectively in the city, while Armenian people are willing to purchase Dena sedan and Arisun pick-up."

Naghedi added, "We are planning to improve our sale and after-sales service through various sale techniques to set a base for a fine introduction of IKCO brand and IKCO cars in Armenia and its neighboring countries."
