Social Flexibility Plan to be implemented in 17 provinces

Social Flexibility Plan will be undertaken in 17 provinces by March 21, said the director general for planning at the Presidential Office's Department for Women and Family Affairs.

Addressing members of the Parliament's Women and Family Faction and directors of women's affairs at the provincial governor general's offices at Tehran's Laleh Hotel, Behnaz Movahedi recalled that her department has placed the implementation of the Social Flexibility Plan on its agenda for about two years.

"The plan has so far been put into action in 13 provinces," she said, adding four more provinces would also be included in the list by mid-March.

The official noted that the plan has been put into effect based on Article 230 of the Fifth Development Plan (2010-2015).

She underlined that the plan seeks to prevent social disorders in the provinces and impart necessary training to the people.

"Training courses are expected to be held in 20 society-based institutes which are involved in activities pertaining to women and family affairs," she said, adding that educational workshops would also be organized for non-governmental organizations.

She hoped that with the implementation of the plan, serious threats to the households would be avoided.

Social flexibility is the ability to adapt to different situations without losing one's temper.
