Tehran and Tbilisi are determined to draw a bright future for cultural cooperation, said the head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization.

Speaking to IRNA on Tuesday, Abouzar Ebrahimi-Torkaman elaborated on his recent three-day visit to Tbilisi during which he held meetings with senior Georgian officials.

He said Georgia is willing to broaden relations with Iran in art and culture sector.

The two sides stressed the importance of signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand cultural cooperation, he noted.

Also, he pointed out, the two countries underlined the importance of boosting religious, university and scientific cooperation.

Torkaman hoped that Iran and Georgia will soon witness the broadening of relations in all areas, particularly in the cultural field.
