HCCFF silver medal goes to Iran's 'Where Are We Going?'

Iranian documentary 'Where Are We Going? ', written and directed by Reza Majlesi, received the silver medal at short Films section of China's Handle Climate Change Film Festival (HCCFF).

"The documentary is about dumping waste in Saravan Forests in Rasht, provincial capital of Gilan, north Iran," Majlesi told IRNA about his documentary.

He added, "If the dumping continues, it can cause an environmental disaster."

Started in 2015, HCCFF is a film festival in China that concerns climate change.

HCCFF is the first film festival in China that concerns climate change. The first edition was held in Shenzhen, 2015.

The festival has received 1,245 films from 93 countries and districts. It has organized 86 screening activities within the city, covering science museums, libraries, theatres, universities, etc. Most importantly, six awarded films have been selected to be screened in China Pavilion of the 22nd Paris Climate Change Conference to share with the world about how humans are dealing with the climate change issues.
