Iran's 'Confined Space' receives accolades in Chile

Iranian short film 'Confined Space', directed by Siamak Ahmadi, won the screenplay honorable mention at the South Film and Arts Academy Festival (SFAAF) in Chile.

The short film has so far taken part in nine international festivals receiving three awards, IRNA reported.

'Confined Space' is about a little girl who asks her father to sign her workbook while she is on her way to school. The father, who is beset by the destructive impacts of war, signs the workbook. He feels surrounded in the confined space of both home and the society.

SFAAF combines a monthly presentation and an annual festival, as well as being an online viewing site. It is a festival of the arts, which includes cinema, music video, web series, theater, music, advertising, photography, among others.

The event includes monthly film festival with live screening in which the awards of the film of the month is presented in each category. The winning films of each month (film of the month) qualify for the grand annual competition, with live screening for three days (August 15-17, 2018). The award for the film of the year is also presented annually in each category.
