Cooperation of Iran, Turkey and Iraq has foiled US sinister plot to create a new crisis in the Middle East, head of Iran-Vietnam parliamentary friendship group said.

“Defeat of the terrorist group Daesh made US create a new crisis in the region by supporting Iraqi Kurdistan Region referendum,” Iran’s Senior Member of Parliament Aladdin Boroujerdi said Wednesday in a meeting with Vietnamese Foreign Minister Phạm Bình Minh, IRNA reported.

“US is not honest in fighting terrorism, rather it caused current crises in the region by supporting extremist and Takfiri groups,” Boroujerdi said.

He expressed hope for both countries to achieve $2 billion volume of trade exchanges.

Meanwhile, Bình Minh called for reinforcing friendly ties with Iran.

“Hanoi spares no effort in realizing the previously set goals by both countries' leaders to promote ties,” he noted.

During the meeting both sides discussed regional developments and ways to promote exchanges.
