According to the seismological center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 6:17 hours local time (2:47 GMT) in an area located at 28.01 degrees latitude and 55.74 degrees longitude and in the depth of 28 kilometers, IRNA reported.
The epicenter of the quake was registered at 35 km of Dorz village, Larestan County, Fars Province.
The jolt has had no casualties or damages.
On November 12, a large-scale earthquake measuring at 7.3 on Richter scale hit western Iran causing massive damages and casualties.
