‘Starless Dreams’ shines in Traces de Vies

An Iranian documentary ‘Starless Dreams’ by Mehrdad Oskouei managed to win the best film award at the 27th French Traces de Vies Film Festival.

The film was showcased in the opening ceremony of the French festival on November 27.

Out of 830 films sent to the secretariat of the festival 45 top documentaries were selected to take part in the competition section of the festival.

Oskouei said the production of the film is inspired by a question about teenage girls in rehabilitation centers.

The causes of crimes amongst teenagers have been a concern for the director and ‘Starless Dreams’ is an answer on these concerns, telling the story of the lives of seven teenage girls in a rehabilitation center in Tehran.
