Senior Iranian MP slams Trump's decision on Holy Quds

A senior Iranian lawmaker said on Monday that the US President Donald Trump's decision to transfer Washington's embassy from Tel-Aviv to al-Quds has united Islamic world against America's aggressive intervention.

Talking to IRNA, Rapporteur of Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said Trump's decision has shown that US statesmen belong more to the Zionist regime than being representatives of the American people.

On December 6, 2017, Trump officially declared Jerusalem (al-Quds) as Israel's capital, saying his administration would also begin a possibly years-long process of moving the American embassy in Tel Aviv to the holy city.

The lawmaker said moving US embassy indicated that the American officials are serving the Zionists interests instead of their own nations.

Naqavi Hosseini underscored that the US decision is not only violating the interests of a specific country, but the whole world.

Expressing surprise over passive stance of a country where Ka'aba, the Muslims' Qibla, is situated, the lawmaker expressed hope that the leaders of Saudi Arabia be awakened.
