Montreal awarded two Iranian films

Two Iranian films ‘Kupal’ by Kazem Mollaei and ‘The Man Who Forgot to Breathe’ by Saman Hosseinpour received awards at the third Montreal Independent Film Awards.

Mollaei’s film received the Grand Prix Narrative Feature at the international feature competition section and Hosseinpour’s product won the Grand Prix narrative Short at international short films competition of the at the Canadian festival which was held on December 8 and ran until December 10, ISNA wrote.

'Kupal' narrates the story of Ahmad Kupal, a hunter and taxidermist, who faces an odd challenge, right before Noruz, the Iranian New Year.

A distinctive characteristic of the film is its concern about the environment and respecting animals' rights.

‘The Man Who Forgot to Breathe’ is the story of a family that is going to break up.
