Lebanon stresses stronger response to Trump's anti-Palestine move

Decisions made by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) regarding the Holy Quds issue should carry the weight of all its 57 member states, said the Lebanese foreign minister on Wednesday.

“The Organization of the Islamic Cooperation should adopt resolutions and executive measures proportionate to the danger faced by the Holy Quds,” said Gebran Bassil, addressing the OIC extraordinary ministerial meeting in Istanbul, Turkey, IRNA reported.

Refereeing to the final statement issued by the foreign ministers of the Arab League last week in Cairo, Bassil said that such actions with regard to the gravity of the situation faced by the occupied Al Quds (Jerusalem) are disproportionate and insufficient.

The OIC extraordinary ministerial meeting opened on Wednesday to address the issue of US President Donald Trump's recognition of Al Quds as capital of the Zionist regime.
