Masrour: Chinese investors eager to construct industrial park in northern Iran

Chinese investors expressed readiness to establish an industrial park in Anzali Free Zone (AFZ) of Gilan Province in northern Iran.

Managing Director of Anzali Trade-Industrial Free Zone Organization Reza Masrour announced the statement on the sidelines of a meeting with the members of China International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector (CICCPS), reported anzalifz.ir.

Describing the potentials of AFZ to the Chinese delegation, Masrour said the private sectors of both countries can play important roles in promoting trade ties.

He added since 100 years ago, the zone has been Europe’s gateway for Iranians, adding, Anzali, located in the beautiful province of Gilan, is among the Iranian cities highly popular with tourists.

Talking on the volume of exports from the zone in the past few years, Masrour said suitable tourism and economic infrastructure, such as Caspian Port Complex – the biggest infrastructure project ever implemented in Iranian free zones – and successful export-oriented industrial units, have been established in the AFZ over the past few years.

He added the zone’s economic indices have experienced a sustainable significant growth in recent years.

The ground is thoroughly paved in the zone for the participation of Chinese investors in the development of the zone’s single industries.
