"I urge all Muslim countries to relocate their embassies to the holy city of Al Quds and boycott Israeli goods," Nabih Berri said, addressing the 13th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC), IRNA reported.
Since US President Donald Trump's recognition of Al Quds (Jerusalem) as the capital of Israeli regime, hundreds of Palestinians have been killed and thousands more arrested protesting the US plan, Berri said.
"So, I insist that we as Arab and Muslim nations, while continuing our protests and demonstrations to denounce the US decision and express support for the Palestinian people, should take a retrospective measure against such an shameful decision," he added.
So far all their attempts to juadize Al Quds have failed and if we as Islamic nations make a firm decision we will be victorious, the Lebanese speaker said.
The US plan to relocate its embassy has caused a great challenge for us as it is a decision contradicting all the conventions of the United Nations, Berri said.
He also praised Iran's stance on Palestine and Lebanon and said, The Islamic Republic of Iran has continued to support Palestine while the country have been on the frontline of defending the humanitarian and political issues pertaining to Palestine and the Palestinian people.
Iran has also backed Lebanon in many critical times, he added and warned against attempts to sink the Iran nuclear deal, known also as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
The P5+1 group of nations should stay committed to the nuclear accord with Iran as its failure is tantamount to a global failure, he said.
