Ali Asghar Mounesan who is currently in Madrid to take part in the 38th International Tourism Fair, called 'FITUR', told IRNA, "In meetings with foreign tourism officials and tour operators, we will seek to promote cooperation and raise the number of foreign tourists to the country."
To this end, publicity, information dissemination and introducing tourism attractions of the country should be accelerated, he said, noting that attracting tourists from European states, China, Turkey and neighboring states are among the objectives on which Iran has based its plan to attract tourists.
Describing 'FITUR' as one of the main exhibitions in the tourism sector in the world, he said this is the very reason that Iran takes part in the event each year.
