The 48-year-old, who was recently voted one of the top 20 most promising coaches by respected football magazine Champions, penned the contact for an undisclosed fee during a ceremony held at Yadegar-e Emam Stadium, also popularly known as Sahand Stadium, in the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz on Friday evening, Press TV reported.
Chairman of the Tabriz-based club Mostafa Ajorlu as well as a number of its officials attended the signing ceremony.
Sağlam will replace Yahya Golmohammadi.
Tractor Sazi Tabriz stands eleventh in the Persian Gulf Pro League table, with 21 points from 20 matches.
Persepolis, based in the Iranian capital of Tehran, currently leads the Persian Gulf Pro League with 45 points from the same number of matches.
Second in the table, Pars Jonoubi Jam has bagged 33 points. Foolad Khuzestan has earned 33 so far points to secure the third spot.
