Iran's Ambassador to Vienna Ebadollah Molaei, deputy minister of science Hossein Salar Amoli, Chancellor of the Iranian Kharazmi University Mohammad-Ali Sobhanallahi, Director General of the Austrian OeAD Stefan Zotti and a number of university professors and students attended the conference, IRNA reported.
According to OeAD website, the OeAD is the Austrian agency for international mobility and cooperation in education, science and research.
At the Vienna conference, the joint Iran-Austria university projects were introduced and the two sides reviewed ways to widen research and scientific cooperation.
The first Tehran-Vienna scientific conference, within the framework of university activities of the joint working groups, was held in Kharazmi University of Iran a year ago.
In related development, Heinz Fischer, ex-Austrian president, via a video message to the conference described Tehran-Vienna cooperation in science, culture and technology as good and long-lasting.
In his message, Fischer said his country supports the selected joint university projects.
Salar Amoli, too, said those projects will become operational next month.
Iranian university delegation arrived in the Austrian capital on Monday evening (Jan 22).
