Pakistan keen to bolster tourism ties with Iran

Pakistan will promote tourism ties with Iran through mutual cooperation, said managing director of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC).

Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor Khan said this in a meeting with a visiting delegation of Iranian entrepreneurs from Khorasan Razavi Province which was headed by Hamid Mousavi, the caretaker of the provincial pilgrimage and tourism department, IRNA wrote.

Ghafoor Khan noted that both Iran and Pakistan are among the countries which have four seasons. He noted that there are innumerable historical and other beautiful places in the two countries which attract tourists from all over the world.

He further said that although Pakistan has an ancient civilization, the Persian civilization has more impact on the societies around the globe.

Mousavi said that Iran is committed to expand relations with Pakistan in all sectors especially tourism.

He described his meetings with Pakistani officials as useful noting the talks would help enhance mutual cooperation in the tourism sector.

Earlier the Iranian delegation visited Lahore and Islamabad. During their meetings with Pakistani officials, the two sides discussed ways to promote tourism between Iran and Pakistan.
