A number of the world leaders congratulated the 39th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution to the Iranian nation and leaders which was celebrated on Sunday.
Among them was Kuwait's emir, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, who sent a congratulatory message to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani wishing Iran considerable progress and welfare, IRNA reported.
Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, and the country's prime minister, Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah, also extended their congratulations to the Iranian government and people on the 39th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in separate messages.
Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz IRNA
Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz also congratulated Rouhani on the same occasion.
In his message, the Mauritanian president wished further prosperity and progress for the Iranian people.
Abdel Aziz said that his country is ready to boost of bilateral ties with Iran in a way that guarantees both nations’ interests.
Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani IRNA
The other congratulatory message was sent by Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the Iranian president.
The Deputy Qatari Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani and the country’s Prime Minister Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani congratulated the victory of the Islamic Revolution in separate messages.
Algeria's President Abdelaziz Bouteflika IRNA
In addition, Algeria's President Abdelaziz Bouteflika congratulated the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, president and people on this occasion.
In his message, Bouteflika wished Iranian people success, and congratulated them on the occasion on behalf of Algerian people.
Iranian people toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 39 years ago, ending 2,500 years of absolute monarchy in the country.
Millions of Iranians in Tehran and in thousands of other cities and towns all across the country poured to the streets on Sunday to mark the anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
