Acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Reza Mirkarimi will direct the festival for the third consecutive year.
Mirkarimi said that the festival is Iran's most important cultural and artistic event in the international arena which goes back to 36 years ago.
In its new approach, the festival will also consider boosting Iran's ties with Asia and the region and active presence in cultural diplomacy.
Total number of 30,000 members of FIFF's Club and presence of interested filmmakers, students, critics and those interested support holding the festival in the best manner possible.
Its club was launched in February 2015 to create the right atmosphere for filmmakers, students, critics and the film enthusiasts.
FIFF Club is the only way for non-guest Iranians to attend the festival's programs.
He added this edition will cover genres of movies ranging from international cinema industry to the Muslim world.
