Three petrochemical projects with a production capacity of 146,000 tons will be inaugurated next week in Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ).

The projects are in the processing and downstream industries of the petrochemical sector which will become operational in a ceremony to be attended by Deputy Oil Minister for Petrochemical Affairs Reza Norouz-Zadeh and a number of provincial officials, Shana reported.

Some $36.33 million have been invested in implementing the projects which, upon completion, are expected to create 152 direct jobs.

The units will produce 146,000 tons of polymeric masterbatches and compounds as well as granule per annum. The plants' products will be used in the construction, auto production, packaging and weaving industries.

The three factories extend over an area of about 115,350 square meters of which five hectares are located in the land belonging to Marun Petrochemical Complex.
