Tunis stresses need to bolster trade ties with Iran

Tunisia Deputy Commerce Minister Hisham bin Ahmed in meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Tunis Mustafa Boroujerdi underlined the need to bolster economic ties with Iran.

Bin Ahmed said that Tunisian government intends to strengthen and expand economic and commercial relations with friendly countries, on top of them Iran, IRNA reported.

He said that new opportunities should be created for mutual cooperation within the framework of both nations' interests.

Bin Ahmed said that Tunisian government has programs and plans to activate all economic and commercial sectors and create appropriate grounds to develop economic indices and in this concern request all signed agreements to be executed and new agreements to be signed for strengthening bilateral ties.

The meeting took place in Tunisian Commercial Ministry with aim to prepare ground for holding joint trade commission meeting between the two countries.
