Since the occupation forces’ retreat from Afghanistan, Iran has spared no effort to help protect Afghanistan, he said.

Issues regarding Iran-Afghanistan border security was to be addressed during the meeting, he added.

He also appreciated Iran’s aids in difficult situations.

“We are in Iran for talk on enhancing mutual friendly relations and ridding the Afghan people of terrorism,” he noted.

Shah Bahrami expressed hope that peace, stability and security would be established in Afghanistan and the region.

Developing military ties and defense cooperation and safeguarding borders were among other topics discussed by both sides.
