Iran film 'Compatriot' grabs award in Netherlands

Iranian film 'Compatriot' directed by Mahtab Soleimani won the Best First Time Director at the 9th Amsterdam Film Festival in the Netherlands.

The flick narrates the story of an Afghan asylum-seeker who has left her country as the bells of Russian war toll in Afghanistan, wrote.

She takes her only child and chooses to live in Iran.
