Beautiful handicrafts of Japan exhibited in Tehran

The exhibition 'Beautiful Handicrafts of Tohoku, Japan' opened in Tehran in a ceremony attended by and the head of international affairs of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, minister of the Japanese Embassy, diplomats, artists and enthusiastic people.

According to fax sent to Iran Daily, the exhibition has been established in cooperation with Japan Foundation, one year after the earthquake and tsunami disasters in Tohoku on 2011, which has attracted the attention of participants.

The purpose of this exhibition is to introduce the ancient and beautiful handicrafts of Tohoku which has gone into oblivion in the modern epoch of Japan.

Works of ceramic, designed with Urushi, colored, metallic and made of bamboo wood are being presented in this exhibition.
