Iran, Belarus ink industrial cooperation MoU

Iran and Belarus inked an industrial cooperation memorandum of understanding during the second meeting of their joint industrial working group in Minsk on Friday.

The MoU was signed by Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohsen Salehinia and Belarusian Deputy Minister of Industry Gennadi Sviderski in a ceremony attended by Iran's Ambassador Mostafa Oveisi, IRNA reported.

They sides underlined the need to expand ties and industrial cooperation between the two countries.

In January, Iran and Belarus signed a cooperation roadmap and vision plan for the three years to 2020, specifying collaboration in the diplomatic, economic, banking, agriculture, transport, science, culture, health and tourism sectors.

The roadmap was signed at the closing ceremony of the 14th Iran-Belarus Economic Commission meeting held at Iran's Trade Promotion Organization.
