According to Xinhua, the art week held in China sought to promote tourism and cultural exchanges across Asian countries, as well as showcase Taizhou's latest achievements in the film and tourism industries.
The art week was co-organized by the China TV Artists Association, the Zhejiang Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television and the Taizhou government.
Authorities hope the festival will give a welcome lift to local tourism and film industries.
During the international event, a series of forums, symposiums and exhibitions were held. This year, the event attracted more than 1,200 films and television works from 23 countries including the US, France, Russia and Japan.
Filmmakers from 30 countries including Australia, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Azerbaijan attended the closing ceremonies.
