Fire injures 12 in Tehran

At least 12 people were injured in a fire at a ten-story building of a petroleum company in Tehran, an official of emergency medical services (EMS) said Monday.

The fire broke out in a building owned by Qeshm Oil and Energy Industries Development (OEID) Company in northern Tehran, IRNA reported.

It was reported to the EMS at 9:43 am local time (0513 GMT) on Tuesday, and 6 ambulances were deployed to the scene of the incident, said Mohammad-Karam Dorabadi, an official of Tehran EMS said.

Ten wounded people were treated at the site and two others were transferred to hospital for medical care, the official added.
